Heartbreak can be so intense you feel it physically or it can be a mild dull ache that becomes obsessive in wanting things back the way they were or fixated in anger/rage at the cause of the heartbreak. Heartbreak can cause panic because you may feel alone and it is not the way you planned it.

The last thing in the world I expected at age 73 was a serious trauma. So intense and anxiety producing, I thought it would never end. In the first few sessions Sheila said “do this EMDR process and one day the problem will just suddenly disappear.” Got to be honest, it made no sense - suddenly disappear? How is that possible? But, after a few months that’s exactly what happened. There was a gradual lessening as the sessions continued, for sure, but as for the anxiety and what felt like PTSD symptoms, I just woke up one day and realized they were somehow gone. And, the sessions also addressed childhood trauma, something I had long since just accepted as part of life. Remarkable stuff, this EMDR. As for Sheila, her longtime experience with EMDR and her amazing optimism in the face of what I was sure would never heal, I can only say she is a miracle! - James Braha, 5 stars
I had an EMDR session with Sheila for a traumatic experience and (flashbacks about it) a few weeks ago. The session helped me process the experience and remove a great deal of the fear. It was also super helpful to have my feelings validated. I would recommend this service to anyone who needs to move forward and not feel so stuck. - Sarah M. Jordan, 5 stars
Having seen Sheila intermittently over the years has been a gift thru different life issues. More recently she was instrumental in helping me move thru severe trauma & ptsd after a violent home invasion where I was the victim. Having experienced many different kinds of therapies & in the healthcare field myself; Sheila provides a safe, therapeutic, professional & attentive environment. With simple yet profound techniques from EMDR to brain spotting to Gestalt & energetic therapies I feel she's been an essential part of my healing journey & I am deeply grateful. - rosemarie burke, 5 stars
Sheila really helped me immensely. I have been working with her the last three years. She is really good at handling trauma, anxiety, & depression. She goes above and beyond to care for me & accommodate my schedule. Very personable. A lot of therapists I’ve seen have not been very relatable, but Sheila is and she treats & sees you as the real and individualized person that you are. - Marisa Pino, 5 stars
Sheila is incredible, and the work she does is truly transformational. She has helped my family recover from a wide range of trauma and since then we have heard amazing things from everyone we have ever sent her way (which at this point has included my parents, in-laws, friends and siblings). She is very direct and no b.s type of communicator, while simultaneously warm and compassionate. The perfect balance to hold a safe space and get real. If you're reading this, congratulations- you found her. - Amanda Love, 5 stars
