Contrary to the many positive reviews, my experience was negative. When I arrived, the name on the office door was different from what I expected, which initially made me think I was in the wrong place. The waiting area was empty, very quiet, dimly lit, and arranged in a way that felt uncomfortable to me, which put me on edge from the start. After waiting for several minutes, John appeared from one of the rooms and we spoke briefly, but I continued to feel uneasy. During the hypnosis session, his tone and delivery felt unsettling, and he touched my hair and flicked my forehead without asking for consent, which made me uncomfortable. I left the session feeling disconnected and worse than when I arrived. Given the cost of $400 and the fact that he is not a licensed therapist, this experience did not meet my expectations and I would not recommend it. - Bob Lucky, 1 stars
I saw John 4 years ago about some severe anxiety and OCD that I was experiencing. The hypnosis felt kind of like a deeper form of meditation. However, the most impressive part for me was the conversation that we had before the hypnosis. I have spoken to numerous therapists throughout my years and none had the same effect on me as John did. The funny thing is that he is not a licensed therapist but was ten times better than most therapists. I still think about the "hypnotic suggestions" concept that he taught me. There are so many ways that our fears become glued into our minds through daily actions. - Forever Foolish, 5 stars
Wow. I am still speechless at how effective my appointment with John proved to be. I was cautiously optimistic, having been intrigued by the idea of hypnosis but with a healthy dose of skepticism. I went to see him for a subconscious habit that I had been unable to break, something I would do without thinking throughout the day. It’s only been two weeks since my single session, and the habit is nearly 100% gone. In fact, it was pretty much gone the day after my session. I'm completely blown away by how well it has worked! John was incredibly patient, kind, and professional - I could tell that he really cared and wanted to help. I feel like I’ve gained another tool in the toolkit for some of these hard-to-deal-with things and I’m excited to continue working with John to see how helpful hypnosis can be in other areas of my life. If you’re browsing these reviews like I was, debating if you should make an appointment - do it! It’s low risk, high reward, and while it may not be a magic bullet, it truly may be able to help. - Jonah, 5 stars
My dentist referred me to see John for smoking cessation. My teeth were falling apart, and I was throwing serious cash for dental implants. I’m 38 years old and I had been puffing away for 16 years, a pack a day. Initially, I dismissed the idea of hypnosis. Don’t get me wrong I did want to quit, I hated the way smoking made feel, but just couldn’t do it. I consistently postponed quitting, telling myself, “I'll do it tomorrow, next month, after my birthday, after the new year.” However, when my father began showing signs of Alzheimer's (he was a smoker) it really hit home. So I decided to give hypnosis a shot. So I did some research (by research I mean looked at some reddit threads), and I went with a “im going to quit” mentality. I saw John on Feb 18th……….and today is my 1-month anniversary that I have not touched a cigarette! After the session, the thought of smoking just grosses me out. To be fully transparent, hypnosis is not Magic and John isn’t a magician, but it is the closest thing to magic I have experienced. You got to be open to it. But man, it worked for me. I'm still blown away that I'm not smoking anymore. Even though it has only been 1 month I feel amazing and have so much energy. It’s like im high on life (anyone that has quit smoking will understand this feeling)….and more importantly I am no longer a slave to thin smelly stick anymore. Never again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, John. - Armand G, 5 stars
I just had my first session yesterday and I can already tell John is a genuinely compassionate and caring person. From the moment I walked in, I felt safe and supported. He has an incredible ability to provide insight and thought-provoking points that really resonate. I consider it a timely blessing that I was guided to find him in a tough time in my life! - MJ, 5 stars
