Selena's calming demeanor was the tip of the iceberg. After one session at Empowered Hypnosis I became extremely aware of my thoughts. Once I gained this awareness I was able to refocus myself whenever the distractions of life took me away from my dreams and goals that we discussed during my free 30-minute trial. My girlfriend and I went to Empower after getting a Groupon (or lifebooker, I don't recall which one). We were skeptical but curious with regards to the efficacy and process of hypnosis. So we each set up a 50 minute appointment with Selena. It was a very simple and professional scheduling process. When we arrived, we waited a few minutes until she was done with her previous client. My girlfriend elected to go first. She decided to have Selena help her with her anxiety and deep seated past issues. Upon finishing, I immediately noticed her calm, pleasant demeanor which was encouraging as I got ready for my session.
Selena was both professional and friendly as she led me into a room with a wonderfully comfortable reclining chair. She dimmed the lights, turned on gentle ambient music. She asked me about what I wanted to accomplish. I wanted to work on personal accountability and follow through with my business and so our 50 minutes began. She guided me into a relaxed mindset then gently took me through a series of general and topic specific affirmations. I was shocked by how much I relaxed and opened my mind, gently led by Selena' visualization techniques and incredibly soothing voice. At the end of the session, she calmly brought me back to reality (much to my dismay!).
