I feel compelled to share my negative experience with Bob Crow, especially after reading similar reviews here on google and on Yelp that echo my sentiments.
During our sessions, I felt patronized and regret for buying the packages. The actual treatment didn't do much for me. I was very far from ever entering a "hypnotic state" or anything like that despite our sessions and me listening to his CDrom tapes. In addition, instead of support, Mr Crow lectured me alot about just giving up and making my life more simple for stress reduction, which only made me feel more overwhelmed and frustrated.
He also made some pretty uncomfortable remarks regarding homosexuality, suggesting it was a mental disorder. I'm not even gay, but this only added to the unease of the experience.
As others have mentioned, Mr Crow definitly knows how to sell himself, often touting credentials, background as a speechwriter for George Bush, and near miracle worker talent of being able to use hypnosis to avoid anesthesia during invasive surgery. However, looking back, this was all apart of of his act into getting his clients to sign this was all a way of building himself up to it increasingly felt like all of this was to build him self up so he could lure his clients in to d himself and other patients as examples of success, but it came off as self-serving rather than inspiring.
Overall, I deeply regret my time and money spent with Bob Crow. If you’re considering him for hypnosis, I strongly recommend doing more research and looking elsewhere. There are many professionals who treat their clients with the respect and care they deserve. - William Dunn, 1 stars
I sought help for my insomnia and anxiety by undergoing hypnotherapy at the Atlanta Center for Behavioral Change. I had prepaid for five sessions and had completed three with Inga Chamberlain, but unfortunately, I had not seen any improvement in my insomnia. With only two sessions left, I requested to see Inga Chamberlain's business partner, Bob Crow, who is a senior and more experienced hypnotherapist, hoping to get better results.
To my dismay, Bob Crow treated me with disrespect , yelled and addressed me aggressively during our sessions. He was patronizing and judgmental . During our last session, he verbally abused me and used himself and other patients as examples of success in life. I came to the center seeking therapy for my insomnia and anxiety, and I did not expect to be lectured and criticized about relationships and my profession .
Bob Crow's behavior humiliated and traumatized me, and I now have more anxieties than before, and my insomnia has worsened. - Mila Kayser, 1 stars
I came to Dr. Crow at a time when I was experiencing a lot of difficulty with managing my mental strength, controlling my habits with procrastination, my self confidence, my process of healing, the list can go on. I felt that I was constantly self sabotaging in every facet of my life. I had zero expectations when it came to hypnotherapy and no idea of the impact Dr. Crow would have on my life and my well-being. I have experienced transformative sessions with Dr. Crow as he is unwaveringly committed to guiding life lasting shifts in my self-perspective. Dr. Crow focuses more on the solutions rather than the problem which allowed me to understand the things that I am responsible for and the things that are separate from the definition of who I am. This gave me a sense of optimism and confidence I’ve never had. I will forever be grateful for how generous he is with his care. I have become the most elevated version of myself due to the help of Dr. Crow and I continue to grow. He has given me so many tools to be the successful and secure person and I will always carry them with me. I would highly recommend Dr. Crow. - Ruth Ibambasi, 5 stars
I worked with Dr. Crow as a client for different issues and found hypnosis to be like a door to my deeply rooted beliefs in what I could achieve and/or overcome. I have returned to him for sessions over the past 6-7 years because it works and my life continues to evolve for the better. I am always the one who decides what I want to achieve and Dr. Crow is my guide to my subconscious and I always get results. I did not believe change like this was possible until I experienced hypnotherapy myself, but it is always the abilities of the person you select to help you. - Lin Hightower, 5 stars
I would highly recommend Dr. Bob Crow and the Atlanta Center for Behavioral Change. Not only is Dr. Crow very knowledgeable but he cares deeply about the success of each client.
