Akosua Gyeaboa is completely irresponsible, and completely unempathetic. She treats her patients like they're all the same, "worthless addicts" My experience with her has left a stain on my views of therapy, and recovery. Not only did she break code of ethics on forcing me to complete recovery in her views and not what I thought was best, she broke the code of ethics on her multiple accounts of abuse towards me as a client. Yelling at me, being passive aggressive, and in the end of our time, completely disregarded me as a person, hung up the session and never contacted me again, nor tried to make another appointment. Completely unprofessional and genuinely unfit for her to be a licensed counselor, whether it was her forgetting forms that NEEDED to be signed, she lead me on while my job was on the line, giving me promises of dates and times, and not only were those promises forgotten, she tried to blame me for those problems, but didnt look at herself in the mirror and see her own faults. Please, I ask you that anyone deciding to take her on as your own therapist, look the other direction, She is unstable, unforgiving, and genuinely the worst counselor I have ever had an experience with. - Donny Robin, 1 stars
More than 7 years sober. Akosua was a gift that came in the midst of a lot of darkness in my life. A DUI, divorce and job loss I was at the bottom. She taught me skills to find clarity and how to cope through a very difficult season. Lots of homework assignments but it continues to pay off handsomely today!!! - Fritz Moser, 5 stars
Do Not Waste Your Time! She was so unprofessional. Was shouting at me even getting closer to the camera to intimidate me? She wouldn’t let me speak or ask questions. She cut me off mid sentence and said she was trying to educate me then proceeded to shout at me “what’s your education level” 3 or 4 times she just kept asking me as if to imply that I’m stupid or she’s smarter. It was so bad I had to leave the appointment. The first time she raised her voice at me I was taken a back and looked shocked and she made a comment of my face but not what she did to get that reaction. I can’t believe this lady! A therapist should be able to remain calm and non biased. She is a joke! - Raechel Cardwell, 1 stars
When my son was in middle school and experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, trouble navigating his peer relationships, he was seen by Akosua Gyeaboa. It only took 3 sessions to help him make sense of what he was feeling and world around him. The benefit lasted him all through high school and helped him develop the skills to manage his own mental health — best money I ever spent! He is now in college, and while he struggles with a neurodivergent condition, he has developed healthy and productive coping strategies. I recommend Alisha Gyeaboa highly. - Elizabeth Milliken (Libby), 5 stars
